Google Grants offer AdWords Grants for Charities wanting to undertake PPC

Launched in 2003, Google Grants is a unique 'in-kind' donation programme that awards free AdWords advertising to selected charitable organisations around the globe.
Google Grants are offering a golden ticket to charities based online; $10,000 worth of PPC advertising. The programme currently gives over 4,000 organisations the ability to achieve their goals by helping them promote their websites via advertising on Google.
Google Grants will give you an advertising grant within the Google AdWords™ programme. AdWords is the online self-managed advertising programme where your organisation will manage its advertising campaign by creating and monitoring text ads that run on Google. Google gets fresh with an algorithm twist..

Two days ago Google released another twist in their search algorithm.  From now on, the ‘freshness’ of a page will have an impact on the SERP’s for a site. The aim is to improve the likelihood of more recent stories ranking higher according to the latest news, updates or reviews on that topic.Allegedly the new changes will affect only 35% of search results.

The changes are an extension of last year’s integration of Google Caffeine into the average user search, which was designed to bring in more recent results for specific searches. Google Fresh which was announced on Thursday will be added on to this evolving news and event searches to a ‘real-time’ standard. (more...)

Google Analytics have officially incorporated Google Webmaster Tools reports into their services. Think back four months ago when Google Analytics launched a pilot program between the two services – well this week Google’s Analytics team announced the piloting scheme is to become a steadfast feature of the service and will now be available for everyone to link Webmaster tools and their Google Analytics account.
