What is Google AdWords and pay per click?

Pay per click (PPC) is an online advertising campaign where your company's ads are displayed on search engines (search network) or third-party websites (content network). The difference is, as the name suggests, that you only pay for people who are interested enough in your services to click the ad, so the traffic your website receives is targeted and highly relevant. Pay per click (PPC) is not about blindly reaching every Internet user; it's about sending a targeted message to consumers who are already looking for a business just like your's. 

Pay per click or PPC is one of the most popular forms of online advertising, and Google AdWords is the most popular pay per click service. If you use Google (or any major search engine for that matter), you will recognise pay per click advertisements as the "Sponsored Links" that appear at the top and right side of the page. In a PPC campaign, these sponsored links only appear for search terms of your choosing, so you are guaranteed to reach customers who are already looking for your type of business services. Pay per click is perfect for new websites or ecommerce sites, where it is important ot drive traffic to the website for a range of keyphrases.

We first started using pay per click to manage our own property websites. When you are spending your hard-earned cash you soon learn how to reduce the cost per conversion and get the best out of a limited marketing budget. Over the last 2 years we have achieved the Google Ad Words Professional Accreditation and have been running PPC accounts for clients spending as much as £50k per month. This has allowed us to hone our PPC management techniques.

We now manage over 20 clients Google AdWords accounts with a total monthly ad spend of £50-£100k. We have had a string of success stories; reducing the cost per click from £1 to 50p within a week. Getting the cost per lead from £80 to less than £20 within a month of taking over the account from another agency.

One of the main benefits of our service is that we charge a fixed monthly fee spread over a minimum of 6 months. Whereas most other agencies charge a monthly fee based on a percentage of your spend, giving them no incentive to save you money or reduce your costs!  This means that you can benefit almost immediately from us restructuring or setting up a new account.

If your cost per click is currently in excess of 30p we can almost always guarentee a saving of at least 20%. We just need to audit your account and find out where you (or your agency) are going wrong and identify how we can improve the performance of your account.
