Website and content management system (WCMS) - a website you can edit and modify yourself!

Any website will need to be updated at some point - so we give all our clients the ability to update the website text. We also provide you with our Website Content Management System (WCMS), which gives you the ability to manage other aspects of the layout, web design and menus. Our websites can be fully updated and controlled by you, so you do not have to keep coming back to us for ongoing changes or modifications.

Search engine friendly and accessible websites

We not only consider how your customers will see your website but also how the search engines will rank your site. For this reason we will ensure that:
- the website is built to be completely search engine friendly
- the content and tags will be search engine optimised (SEO)
- you can upload the new optimised content and tags through the content management system (CMS)
- we provide blog, news and portfolio modules that allow you to create ongoing new optimised content - great spider food!
- we provide a static site map and a Google sitemap - both of which help to ensure the site is spidered quickly and regularly

Web Design and Build Process - We are with you every step of the way!

Review and specification

The first stage of the web build process is to review your current website if you have one, review your competitors web sites and produce a technical specification of what is needed for your business.

Website Design

After discussing with the designer what you visual requirements are for the site we will produce a visual of how the website will look. This will help you make sure that your brand will be properly promoted by the site and give you a chance to see how the new site will work. We will then discus any changes needed until you are happy to go onto the next stage.

Template build

Once you happy with the website design produced we will create (X)HTML templates for the website and build the style sheets (CSS) for the site. A number of style sheets will be produced for each device that they will be used on. For example when printing a website page it will look different to the website with the navigation menus removed. The templates built will be accessible and comply with the disability discrimination act and will work on screen readers for people with visual impairments.

The Content Management System Build (CMS)

The CMS will enable you to add and change page text content on the site using an interface similar to Microsoft word. You will also be able to upload images and other documents such as PDFs, Excel, Power Point and other documents to the website.

The Web Management System Build (WMS)

The web management system will enable changes to the website as a whole such as the structure (menus) of the site, and any forms on the site. The statistics and status of the site and any other more complicated functionality needed for your web site will also be produced at this stage.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) plus Submission to Search Engines and Creation of Feeds

We can create optimised copy for your website using our search engine optimisation services. Once the new content is uploaded and the site is signed off; we will create an XML site map which is updated every night and describes all the pages in your site. We will create any other feeds that are needed to submit to other websites such as Right Move etc. We will then submit the site map to the search engines such as Google. Finally we will add Google analytics to the site which gives extra information about how the site is performing with your online advertising campaign,

Testing

The final stage will be to test that the website is fully working and works in multiple browsers and platforms.

Working with creative agencies and other designers - use our technology or we will build your site for you!

Our website and content management system (WCMS) has proved so flexible that other web designers are now using our software to build sites for their clients; paying us a small license fee. We are very happy to work with any creative agency or web designer and we can either build the website for you using your design, or instruct you on how to incorporate our basic WCMS system into your style sheet (CSS). We can also provide a full range of additional modules and functionality allowing you to sell to larger clients or offer more services.
